ABOUT
Bill McCain has served as president and CEO of W.R. McCain & Associates, a Salisbury-based real estate valuation and consulting company, for 30 years. An economics and sociology major, Bill received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington College and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University. He served as an at-large member of the Wicomico County Council from 2006-2010, holding the position of vice-president for two years.

Over the years, Bill established a strong record of community service, serving in a leadership role for countless organizations. Highlights of his public service include past Chairman of the Board of Directors, Peninsula Regional Medical Center; Past President, Rotary Club of Wicomico County; and former Rotarian of the Year. Bill currently serves as 2nd Vice Chair, Greater Salisbury Committee; Vice Chair, YMCA of the Chesapeake; and Board of Trustees for Trinity Church.
"I am entering the race to do my part to provide a vision to make Wicomico County a better place to live, work, and play. I have spent my entire life working, learning, teaching, playing and living on Maryland's Eastern Shore, mostly in Wicomico County. My roots are here. My family, church and business are here. My future is here -- this is my community.
After much soul searching and conversations with friends and family, I have decided to run for the Wicomico County Council as an At-Large representative, a position I held from 2006-2010. My desire to represent the citizens of Wicomico County as a public servant stems from my honest belief that I can offer unique insights into this region's economic, environmental, and educational direction based on my business experience, academic background, community service, affinity for nature and the great outdoors, and good old fashioned hard work and common sense.

I want to preserve the unique Eastern Shore atmosphere and culture of my youth, while enhancing the region's economic and educational infrastructure to ensure my children, my children's children, and all of our citizens have the professional and vocational opportunities necessary for a thriving community. I want to play a leadership role in advocating for policies that advance a positive political agenda, one that leads to a vibrant economy, a strong educational system, a safe and secure community, and a healthy environment."
